Loadout Generator Information
Using Dayz Boosterz Standalone Loadout Generator
Features of the Tool
Loadout Management: The tool allows users to create and manage custom loadouts, specifying item types, attributes, and quick slot settings for each attachment slot.
CodeMirror Integration: The tool integrates CodeMirror, a versatile text editor, for displaying and editing JSON data. This editor supports syntax highlighting, line numbers, and a dark theme for better readability, but cannot be manually edited.
Attachment Slot Configuration: Users can configure various attachment slots with different items, including setting quick slots and adding child items (both simple and complex).
Discrete Item Sets: The tool supports the creation and management of discrete item sets. Each set can have its own spawn weight, health, and quantity attributes, and can include complex and simple child items.
Loadout Import and Export: Users can import existing loadouts in JSON format and export their custom loadouts to JSON files. The tool provides validation and helpful prompts to ensure proper loadout structure during import and export. When importing, the loadout must be generated from the loadout generator itself. This is due to different file structures.
Purpose of the Tool
This tool is designed to help users create, manage, and export custom loadouts for your DayZ Server. The tool streamlines the process of configuring loadouts by providing an intuitive interface for setting up attachment slots, discrete item sets, and other loadout details. Users can also easily import and validate existing loadouts, ensuring compatibility and correctness.
Database Integration with DayZ BoosterZ
When choosing to download your loadout, users have the option to save the loadout to the DayZ BoosterZ database. This provides a convenient way to store and retrieve custom loadouts for future use. To use this feature, users simply check a box in the export dialog, and the tool handles the rest.
This tool provides a comprehensive solution for managing game loadouts, ensuring that users can easily create, modify, and apply their custom configurations in their game environment. Currently, we are only storing the loadout for future use and stored/saved loadouts cannot be re-downloaded directly at the moment. You can keep an eye out on the discord announcements tab, when this feature is released.
